From pool report, at a breakfast this morning, bush ran with that good line from last night:
“On issue after issue, my opponent showed why he’s earned the ranking of most
liberal member of the US Senate. Several of his statements just don’t pass the
credibility test. With a straight face, he said ‘I’ve only had one position on
Iraq.’ He must think we’ve been on another planet.”’
He once called it the right decision. “Now he says it’s the wrong war.”
“Who’s he trying to kid? He can run, but he cannot hide.”
Listening to all this, “I did all I could not to make a bad face.”
