It’s not hard to believe that so many pundits prefer to think of the current unpleasantness in Georgia as a nasty Russian response to Georgian provocations. To believe what is in front of our noses is extremely unpleasant: namely that the Russians carefully planned this operation, and then carried it out when Putin was in Beijing, along with Bush. And yet the evidence is convincing (quite aside from the fanciful notion that Georgia was itching for a war with Russia). Blackfive has collected the evidence and provides lots of links. When you’re doing reading it, ask yourself what’s the difference between this and the annexation of the Sudetenland? Including the paralysis of the so-called Western World in the face of deliberate, systematic military conquest.

And of course the silence of the Left is notable, since they so often pose as defenders of peace. Once again it turns out that American military action is judged evil, while our enemies can do the same without a word of protest. Where’s Code Pink? Where’s Ron Paul, for that matter…
