When asked today on This Week about Karl Rove’s recently announced plan to specifically seek out and fund “electable” Republican congressional candidates and campaign against “problem” ones, which has seriously angered some grassroots conservatives, Representative Paul Ryan had a blunt answer: “I don’t even pay attention to this stuff.” He explained, “I’m too busy trying to do my job, I’m too busy trying to put together a balance that balances . . . [and trying] to get bipartisan immigration reform.” Ryan has “no thoughts on the matter whatsoever,” he said.
