It turns out that the author of the Rolling Stone piece on UVA, Sabrina Rubin Erdely, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. Stephen Glass was a classmate and friend of hers. When it was discovered that Glass had been fabricating his stories, Erdeley wrote a column in which she admitted that she had “almost” felt sorry for him but eventually decided that he wasn’t worth it.
I wonder what he thinks of her.
