The Saddest Sentence in Yesterday’s Times

Had to be this statement of empowerment from a mother who hired a “parenting

coach” to teach her how to handle her two boisterous boys:

“I needed to find a way to say I really don’t enjoy playing football all

that much, I don’t want to read Captain Underpants, I really don’t want to

look through your Lego catalogue.”
