Me: The answer is quite simple. The LA Times is going to run a “For The Record” statement on the whole thing. That’s how they wanted to go. I think they wanted it to run today, but there was some last minute back-and-forth with me and the Gore spokesperson. It turns out, by the way, that the statement they gave Greg Sargent is a little different than the one they gave the LA Times (which partly explains the lack of a correction today also). I wish I’d known that before I did a small piece for the mag on the whole brouhaha. But more about that later.
