Samuelson On Global Warming

I can’t remember the last time I read a column which so neatly summarized my attitude toward global warming. While I might have a smidgen more skepticism to giant government R&D projects, I am basically entirely in the Samuelson camp when he writes:

The trouble with the global warming debate is that it has become a moral crusade when it’s really an engineering problem. The inconvenient truth is that if we don’t solve the engineering problem, we’re helpless.

As they say, read the whole thing.
