Santorum Camp Fine With No Nominee Being Picked By Convention Time

CNN reports:

“If we all go to the convention with a certain amount of delegates and we have to figure something out at the convention so be it,” Santorum spokesman Hogan Gidley told reporters at the campaign’s Super Tuesday party headquarters.

Gidley’s comments came in response to one of the chief arguments now routinely made by Mitt Romney’s advisors who predict Santorum will be too far behind in the delegate count after Super Tuesday to catch up and clinch the nomination.

“He’s got to get to 1144 too,” Gidley snapped back in a reference to the number of delegates need to secure the nomination.
