The inflation news is so bad and so embarrassing for the Biden White House that its media allies are trying to sell it as, yes, a positive development!
Under the Carter administration, no one pretended that inflation was anything other than a cruel tax that preyed on the poor and elderly the most. Any other discussion was mercilessly satirized. See this classic Saturday Night Live open from October 1978, where Dan Aykroyd as Jimmy Carter explains that inflation is no problem at all:
