Kathryn, the Drudge link on the Scalia remarks isn’t working right now, but I was at a talk recently where Justice Scalia did make a comment of the kind being quoted. It’s ridiculous to think he meant it literally. As I recall, Scalia was simply giving a kind of reductio ad absurdum example of the sort of legal reasoning he disagrees with. No one in the room thought he was actually advocating orgies.
