Schumer: ‘My Colleagues Just Won’t Take “Yes” for an Answer’ on Border Security Amendment

Sen. Chuck Schumer defended the border security amendment and the Gang of Eight immigration bill on the Senate floor Monday evening. “My colleagues just won’t take ‘yes’ for an answer,” he remarked, after urging fellow Republicans that the amendment and bill will be “good for America.”

“This is the toughest, strongest, most expensive border provision that we have had,” Schumer said.
