Schumer: Repeal Will Look Like ‘Swiss Cheese’ When Senate Is Done With It

On Face the Nation yesterday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) spelled out the Democrats’ strategy for beating back health-care repeal in the Senate should Republicans succeed in getting it to the floor (via an amendment to another measure, or other means.)

Schumer says that if the Republicans move on repeal, Democrats will require them to vote on individual measures within the health-care bill, including its popular aspects, in the hopes of breaking up party unity. What will be left, Schumer says, “will be so full of holes it will look like Swiss cheese.”
