I didn’t find their argument in the Times (that there’s some huge difference between trade in goods and trade in factors of production that calls the case for free trade into question) at all persuasive. But the liberal/paleocon collaboration on the article was interesting. I suspect that if a Republican senator teamed up with someone who defended Strom Thurmond’s presidential campaign, believes whites “are being marginalized in their own country,” and so on, people would delve a bit more into Roberts’s views.
