The California Republican governor is diverting $150 million on loan to the state-established cloning institute there. Yes, yes, yes the institute was an initiative voters got a vote on. But with typical disingenuousness in the Prop 71 language and much of the media coverage, I’d bet money most didn’t know what they were voting for (see here and here) – other than, essentially, vote here to make sick people better.
