See, Louisiana Does Have Ethical Standards

A South Louisiana blogger notes that last year, Louisiana Public Broadcasting chief Beth Courtney, who sits on the national Corporation for Public Broadcasting board, “claimed the moral high ground in voting against CPB President Patricia Harrison because of Harrison’s potential conflicts of interest as a former chair of the Republican National Committee.” Now a state ethics board has slapped Courtney and her husband, who runs a video production firm, with a $10,000 fine over LPB contract work Mr. Courtney did with the official approval of Mrs. Courtney– violation of state ethics law.
