If you are in or near the Windy City on Thursday afternoon, April 11, please join us for what promises to be one of the best regional seminars that National Review Institute has ever presented — and that’s saying something.

In Chicago, we’ll be treated to keynote speeches from former vice president Mike Pence and former attorney general Michael Mukasey. The theme of this year’s regional seminars is the “Foundations of Freedom,” and the way they are uniquely preserved in our republic by the United States Constitution. It’s hard to imagine two more thoughtful Americans to expound on the subject, given the years they’ve dedicated to fortifying our bedrock principles.

Besides that, we’ve put together a great program, hosted by NRI president Lindsay Craig. We’ll have another keynote address by our own Ramesh Ponnuru. Ramesh will also anchor a panel, as will our own Charles C. W. Cooke — I’m looking forward to participating in Charlie’s, which will include Allyson Ho, one of the nation’s top appellate litigators. (We’re prying her away from the Supreme Court for a day.) And we’ll hear from Lindsay and NRI chairman Peter Travers about the tremendous work the Institute is doing across the country.

For more information on NRI’s Chicago Regional Seminar, check out the Institute’s website — the Chicago Seminar details are here. If you’re in the area, we’d love to see you there.
