Senate Dems Grow Impatient with Obamacare at WH Meeting

With the 2014 midterms looming and concerns over the health-care law continuing to mount, Democratic senators up for reelection expressed their frustrations to President Obama at a White House meeting on Wednesday.

Roll Call reports that Mark Udall of Colorado was among those upset with the Obama administration and suggesting changes to the original enrollment period. In a statement following the meeting, Udall said he “urged the president again” to extend the time for users to enroll as well as to ensure security issues have been addressed in response to the “widespread problems” facing Healthcare.gov.

According to White House pool reports, President Obama exited the Oval Office in “animated conversation” with Senator Michael Bennet, also from Colorado and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee chairman, on his way to travel to Dallas for a speech on the health-care law.
