Breaking: Senate Tax Bill Proceeds to Debate and Voting

After multiple delays, the vote to let the Senate tax bill proceed to voting and 20 hours of debate was finally held this evening, passing on a party-line basis.

Several skeptics of the bill, such as Senators Bob Corker and James Lankford, voted for it to move forward, so that it can be debated and amended, so the motion to proceed should not necessarily be interpreted as support for the present proposal.
