Maybe it’s just me, but it does seem that the Democrats verge on self-parody in their apparent insistence that they want to see Roberts emote for them. Schumer’s number-one objection is their fear that Roberts lacks “compassion and humanity”; Feinstein complimented Roberts this morning because at one point he finally “showed the man” underneath the careful lawyer.
