Kathryn, if John McCain were to get the Republican nomination my decision is already made. While I NEVER vote for Democrats in the general election (I’ve done my part voting for some in the Wisconsin primaries) there are people who run as Republicans that I will not vote for, regardless of the circumstances. John McCain will NEVER see my vote. Immigration? I disagree with him but if it were just that I’d look beyond. It is McCain/Feingold and the Senators stand on taxes that absolutely bar him from receiving my vote. I know I am not alone, and perhaps the Senator could snag enough independent and conservative (?) Democrats to win, but he will need them when people such as myself refuse to check his box. Perhaps he will end up being Hil’s secret weapon to gain the White House.
