Send Biden Abroad

I think President Obama has so far managed the complex rhetorical mix of caution and calm on the swine flu outbreak pretty well, but unfortunately the same now cannot be said of his vice president. If you had to imagine more or less the worst thing that a public official could say at this stage of an unpredictable potential (but not yet actual) pandemic situation to confuse the public and sow panic, it would be Biden’s remarks on the Today show this morning. Utter irresponsible stupidity.
