The Corner

Send the Tickets c/o NR

I’ve attended two Washington Nationals games this season. The second was last night, when I took NR’s D.C. intern Mike Warren, who you’ve been reading on The Corner. At one point, we watched Elijah Dukes step away from the batter’s box for a minute or two. It looked like he had a sudden coughing fit or something. It turns out he swallowed a bug.

But I digress.

My point is this. The Washington Post described my first game of the year this way: “perhaps Washington’s most rousing effort of the season.” In today’s paper, last night’s game is described thusly: “an improbable 6-4 victory over the Florida Marlins that had players calling it the season’s most satisfying win.”

I await my free tickets to another game.
