Derb is right — the Letterman/O’Reilly interview perfectly captures the tone of most showbiz political debate. I believe at one point Letterman, “Sixty percent of what you say is crap.” Which is perfect — “I don’t need to say what you’re wrong about, I can just label it all as wrong, and go to bed happy.” What’s really weird is that I have long heard from people who worked for Letterman that he leaned to the right.
