I’ve had Foxnews.com’s Sistine Chapel chimney-cam on in the background in my office, waiting for the next vote of the conclave. About twenty minutes ago, a bird landed on the chimney and has perched there since. Surely this must be some heavenly sign? Well, let’s hope not, because at roughly 12:45 pm EDT, the bird — how do I put this delicately? — relieved himself on the chimney. Can we get George Weigel or K-Lo in here to interpret the significance for us? Let’s hope MSNBC doesn’t have the footage, or we’ll never hear the end of it.
