In a few years, you will begin to hear the exact same argument in your house:
You: I said no!
Little Lucy: But, Dad, Jane’s mom is getting her a squirrel for a pet!
That’s not fair!
You: Go to your room!
Part of the problem with our culture today is so many liberal parents actually cave to these arguments. They have to, for intellectual consistency’s sake.
