Kathryn, my SNL post was not intended as a response to yours — strictly coincidental! (And Alec Baldwin, may I say, is likable — often likable — despite his politics. A couple of years ago, I reviewed a concert version of South Pacific in Carnegie Hall, and it was terrible — a real stinkeroo. But Baldwin, in the small part of Luther Billis, was the best thing in it.)
