My colleague and friend Stewart Baker, who was DHS undersecretary for policy in the Bush administration and knows more about the intricacies of airline security than anyone I know, has a forthcoming book that touches on the problems addressed by the administration and the problems that were left unaddressed as a result of barriers thrown up by privacy advocates and their friends throughout European governmental agencies. The book is called Skating on Stilts and will be available in the New Year.
