The Corner

Smoking Ban

Iain:

I am sure that a boulevardier such as yourself does not need to be told that smoking has been banned from private clubs in New York City since the establishment of the Bloomberg tyranny. “For the health of club employees,” goes the excuse.

Forgive me if I’ve noted this before on The Corner, but a year or so ago I was in one of the private gentlemen’s clubs in Manhattan & happened to glance out of one of the windows that overlooked an inner courtyard. There outside was one of the club staff , in full livery, smoking a cigarette.

The madness is upon us. We are doomed, doomed.
