Byron, I’m sure you’ll get more expert guidance from readers, but I know a little about this as this is perennial issue in the Goldberg household. My Alaskan bride calls them snowmachines. Everyone in Alaska does (most of my in-laws ride ‘em to their cabins and the like). On the East Coast snowmachines are those things that make sketchy snow at ski resorts. It took me a while to understand why my wife and relatives would talk about their snowmachines in that in Alaska, they do not need to make snow.
