Here we go again! Once again, we’ve run a webathon. Once again, you’ve responded in an amazing fashion. And I’m hoping, once again, you’ll help us reach our goal in the final hours.
We are trying to reach $175,000 by midnight tonight and are this close. As I write, we’ve raised about $150,000 from 1,000 donors, for an average donation of $150 (these numbers are conveniently round, but I promise I’m not making them up).
At that pace, we only need roughly 150 of you to chip in and we’ll reach our final goal.
I suspect my fundraising pitches aren’t your favorite thing to read, and, to be honest, they aren’t my favorite thing to write, either. But it is so gratifying to see how many of you give to support our mutual cause . . . every . . . single . . . time.
If there’s anything we’ve learned the last several years, it’s that constitutional government, free markets, traditional virtues, and American strength abroad don’t defend themselves — the left is firmly opposed, and various factions on the right (or formerly on the right) have spun off in weird directions.
So, these indispensable aspects of our country’s greatness need vigorous, consistent, and fearless advocates — now more than ever. This is where NR comes in. It’s my belief that our work is as urgent and important as it’s ever been.
