Social Security Keeps Growing

Over at Bloomberg View, I write about an aspect of Social Security that is not universally understood: Its benefits tend to grow over time, automatically, as wages grow. If benefits were instead made to grow no faster than inflation, most of the program’s funding gap would disappear.
