Solidarity Redux

The bus drivers in Tehran are going on strike again on Saturday, still asking for decent wages and the right to organize. Echoes of Solidarity, eh? But in the whole Western world, despite the stampede of politicians with “solutions” to the Iranian challenge, so far I’m aware of exactly two men (and no women) who have called for support for the Bus Drivers’ Collective: Jimmy Hoffa Jr. and Rick Santorum.

Their names will be honored when Iran is free, but we can start now, by supporting the bus drivers.
