Out yesterday, from the good folks at Gallup.
In the U.S., 58% of full- or part-time workers are completely satisfied with their job security. This represents an increase from the levels recorded during the aftermath of the Great Recession — from 2009 to 2013 — when roughly 50% of Americans said they were completely satisfied.
This is good news — another indication that the labor market is healing.

Also, some encouraging news out this morning from the Labor Department on continued claims for unemployment insurance, which fell to 2.5 million in the week ending August 9th — the lowest number of continued claims since before the start of the Great Recession. The more indicators that look better than they did since before the Great Recession, the better.
