Speaking of Bad Tv Shows

I’ve been meaning to make this prediction for a while, and I don’t want to be proven true without making it. The new ABC series “In Justice” is doomed. Doomed I say. The premise is that there are innocent people in jail and that — every week — crusading lawyers will prove someone’s been wrongly incarcerated. ABC clearly sees this as edgy and progressive but dramatically it’s bone-headed. Every week we A) know the outcome and B) are told that our criminal justice system is, as a matter of practice, throwing innocent people in jail. That’s a bad message and a boringly predictable way to deliver it. The show will never catch on.
