As the Sixers blog noted last night , in Virginia, antiwar Republican Jim Webb won the Democratic nomination to take on Sen. George Allen this fall. This race will get a lot of national attention: It will take place right outside the DC media market, Allen is of course a contender for 2008, and Webb is an unconventional candidate who has the ability to make Republicans squirm. One bit of good news for Allen:Turnout was exceedingly low.
