Warren Buffett’s 2003 “Squanderville and Thriftville” article in Fortune was pretty comprehensively tossed and gored on conservative websites at the time. (Though not on this one that I can remember.) Seems to me — leaving aside the mega-bureaucratic prescription in the second half — the diagnosis doesn’t look so bad right now. Be interested to hear informed opinions.
