Curtain Up on Stained Glass

Bill Buckley’s acclaimed 1978 “Blackford Oakes” novel (it was a huge hit and won the National Book Award) was retooled by the author as a play, which premiered in 1989 at the Actors Theater of Louisville. In the picture below, you’ll note atop WFB’s old typewriter sit two copies of the script of Stained Glass, published by Samuel French, Inc. Bill kept a dozen copies in his cabinet, and as we are moving our offices next month, and downsizing mightily, and as there are many WFB fans out there who yearn for such Bill-owned mementos, we figured we’d sell 10. So if you want one, the cost being 15 humble bucks, including shipping and handling, order it at the NRO Store.
