Stamp Out

In Michigan, as many as 20,000 college students may receive food stamps. Aaron Miller of the Student Free Press Association has the story.

“College kids are not the client that was intended for Bridge Cards,” [state representative Joe] Haveman said. “For a traditional college student coming out of a middle class family, their parents are their support system.”

John J. Miller, the national correspondent for National Review and host of its Great Books podcast, is the director of the Dow Journalism Program at Hillsdale College. He is the author of A Gift of Freedom: How the John M. Olin Foundation Changed America.
