…with all due respect, your description of the poll doesn’t compute. Those polled were more heavily Republican than the rest of the population because that’s who watches the president when he speaks. Considering that fact, the poll is especially good news for him because of the slippage in support from the GOP base. If millions of Republican viewers came away with a more favorable view of him than they had before, that’s extremely good news for Bush.
