Kathryn asked me to review the movie. I did. I believe that a reasonable person would assume there’s at least a temporary hole in the Tholian web sustaining the Star Trek ban. Here’s my favorite email of the day:

It’s people like you describe that bring me great joy in saying things like “I hope Luke sets his phaser to kill in this one!” and “Captain Kirk sure can use that Force!” while standing in line for Star Trek/Star Wars movies. Movie ticket- 8 bucks, popcorn and drink- $12.50, morally superior, condescending correction from 40 year-old dude who lives in his mother’s basement- priceless!
