Starbucks CEO and Obamcare supporter Howard Schultz had to admit the health-care law’s launch has been flawed and that the administration is not helping its cause by not being open about the process to fix it.
“Unfortunately, in this kind of situation, execution trumps strategy,” Schultz told CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo this week. “It might be a great strategy, but the executive is really flawed, it’s off the rails.”
He called on the Obama administration to offer “real honesty” on problems facing Healthcare.gov and its repair efforts. “The administration should come clean with 100 percent transparency about what is really the situation, how long it’s going to take to fix it, the privacy issues,” he said.
Schultz also heralded his company’s policy of offering comprehensive health insurance to part-time employees working 20 hours per week as being “better” than the federal law’s alternatives.
