Stars of State & Screen

The Washington Examiner has run a third excerpt from my new book, The Grand Jihad. The excerpt explores some of the interesting characters at the Dar al-Hijra Islamic Center in Virginia — where Anwar al-Awlaki once presided as imam and where 9/11 hijackers and the Fort Hood jihadist worshipped. As I relate in the book, last year, the Obama State Department nevertheless gave Dar al-Hijra a starring role in a film about Muslim life in America.

By the way, did you know that the terrorist organization Hamas was run from Virginia in the early nineties?

The first two excerpts from the Examiner series are here and here.
