Bush’s comments were wonderfully sensible and straightforward. Would it be
too undiplomatic to add that the French, Germans and Russians already made
their billions on Iraqi contracts — when they were pumping goods and
services into the country during Saddam’s rule in defiance of the UN
sanctions?
