Stray Thoughts (Can You Tell I’m Procrastinating?)

If Rudy falters, does that encourage Fred Thompson all the more — to be the star who cleans up? Or does Thompson, realizing both that he likes his life and believing there may already be a leader in the race, throw his weight behind someone already in there? Presumably McCain since Thompson has been a McCain guy in the past. But it doesn’t have to be. I would be courting Thompson if I were Romney.

Or …Thompson-Gingrich 2008 saves the day!

Yeah … no. That may be banking a little too much on getting in “late.” Though I do like the rebel-yell aspect.
