Strip Searches

From a reader:

You’re correct. The responsibility for the search of the minor lies

in the creep who brings the drugs into the same house as a minor. I

don’t even think that the search is wrong on any level, legal or

moral as long as the warrant states something along the lines of “the

premises and therein”. It’s one of those unfortunate facts of life.

I’m still waiting for someone in the media to ask Senator Leahy when

he is introducing legislation prohibiting minors from being searched

during a drug raid. And if he’s stupid enough to say that he’d

consider it, follow up by asking him that if such as bill was passed,

how long he thought it would take for the drug dealers to turn all of

the minors in their homes into drug mules.
