Conservatives should all agree on the immorality of race laws in a republic supposedly based on the proposition that all men are created equal. But, inspired by Katherine’s piece Tuesday on ethnic bean-counting, I also thought it might be worth offering some visual examples of the stupidity of such race laws. Guess which person in the following pairs is defined by our race laws as a “non-Hispanic white” and which is the “minority” requiring special protections from the government to make up for discrimination:
