Have to disagree on Hillary and superego…controlled and calculating is what we see because she’s working so hard to maintain rigid control over her temper. My perception is that she firmly believes that she’s entitled to the presidency and we’d all be so much better off if we gave up these lame debates and elections and just pronounced her President by acclamation.
The fact that this hasn’t happened yet is clearly cause for frustration, and what was particularly clear in the exchanges on immigration last night is just how irksome she finds it when people challenge her, particularly people like Russert who are supposed to be on her side. There’s a sense of “how dare you” that is bubbling just below the surface of that controlled exterior. If last night was the start of her opponents and debate moderators calling her on her inconsistency, I’m betting the controlled, calculating façade will crack, and soon, and it will be fun to watch.
