Super Bowl LVIII: Andy’s Predictions

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes drops back to pass against the Miami Dolphins during the first half of the 2024 AFC wild card game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., January 13, 2024. (Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports via Reuters)

Well, there’ll be no catching Charlie, but I love Phil’s adding some new predictions to the mix. I’m going to stick with the Chiefs — I think this is Mahomes’s time to enter the Montana/Brady pantheon (maybe Terry Bradshaw should be in there, too). I also think the Niners are lucky to be here because they should have lost to the Lions and that the Chiefs’ defense is better than many think. Even with all their weapons, the Niners are going to have problems scoring.

So I’m going with this:

Final Score: Chiefs 33 — 49ers 21

At 47.5, I’m taking the OVER.

First TD: The Chiefs’ defense.

MVP: Who else . . . Patrick Mahomes.

Enjoy the game, everyone!
