Susan Collins Declares Support for Tax Bill but Bob Corker Remains Opposed, Citing Deficit
Susan Collins issued a statement declaring her support for the Senate tax bill. With Collins’s support, the Senate GOP no longer needs a tie-breaker vote from the Vice President to pass the bill.

The Senate was to make an overture to fiscal conservatives and pull back some of the deficits, as I reported last night, but Ted Cruz and his allies blocked the measure.
Unless anything changes last minute, the Senate tax plan will pass.
