Susan Rice got a few laughs as she shrugged off whether the House select committee on Benghazi would uncover any new information.
“Dang if I know,” she told PBS’s Judy Woodruff on Wednesday, adding that the administration has provided thousands of documents, participated in other congressional committees, and taken recommendations from the accountability review board. “It’s hard to imagine what further will come of yet another committee.”
Instead, Rice urged Congress to focus on increasing security at embassies.
“What’s lost in all of this discussion about Sunday shows and talking points is that we lost four brave Americans on that day, and their families and those of us who work with them continue to grieve,” she said. “The last thing we need to do is lose any more.”
